Two Surf Camps Left in 2026
Finish the Year Surfing Better
The main summer season might be behind us, but some of the best surfing in Croyde is still to come.
We have only two adult surf camps left at Surfing Croyde Bay in 2026, designed for surfers who have already started their surfing journey and are ready to take the next step.
Progressor Surf Camp – 17th & 18th October 2026
Intermediate Surf Camp – 14th & 15th November 2026
Both camps take place over two days at Croyde Bay in North Devon, combining plenty of time in the water with focused coaching, video analysis, and surf theory to help you understand not only what you need to improve, but how to improve it.
Can’t commit to the full weekend? We can also accommodate surfers who would like to join us for the first day only at a reduced price. Get in touch to arrange a one-day spot.
Why join a surf camp?
One of the biggest advantages of a surf camp is continuity.
Rather than having an occasional lesson and then trying to remember everything the next time you surf, our weekend camps give you consecutive sessions where you can put feedback straight into practice.
Across the weekend, you’ll have four coached surf sessions, allowing our coaches to watch your surfing, identify areas to work on, and then build on those changes throughout the two days.
Where appropriate, we use video analysis and classroom theory alongside our in-water coaching, helping you see what’s happening with your surfing and understand the changes that can make the biggest difference.
And with our maximum 6:1 surfer-to-coach ratio, you’ll receive plenty of individual feedback throughout the weekend.
Our October Progressor Surf Camp is designed for surfers who have moved beyond their first few lessons but aren’t yet consistently surfing independently out back.
You might be comfortable standing up and riding whitewater, have started paddling out and catching green waves, but still find positioning, wave selection and riding along the face of the wave difficult to get right consistently.
If that sounds familiar, this is your camp.
We’ll work on areas including:
Paddling out efficiently and confidently
Positioning yourself in the line-up
Wave selection and timing
Catching unbroken green waves
Improving your take-off
Angling the board and riding along the wave face
Developing better control and direction
Trimming and introducing turns
Reading sets and improving your ocean awareness
The aim is to bridge that difficult gap between learning the fundamentals and becoming a more independent surfer.
By the end of the weekend, we want you to have a much clearer understanding of where you need to be in the water, which waves to choose and what you need to work on when you’re surfing without a coach alongside you.
Dates: Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th October 2026
Our final surf camp of the year is aimed at intermediate surfers who are already independently catching and riding green waves.
If you’re paddling out comfortably, positioning yourself in the line-up and surfing down the line but feel your surfing has reached a plateau, our Intermediate Surf Camp is designed to help you break through it.
Across the weekend we’ll look more closely at your technique and decision-making, working on areas such as:
Wave selection and positioning
Timing your take-off
Generating and maintaining speed
Bottom turns
Trimming
Cutbacks
Rail-to-rail transitions
Linking manoeuvres together
Reading different sections of the wave
Developing greater style, flow and control
At this level, relatively small changes to positioning, timing and technique can make a huge difference.
Using in-water coaching alongside video analysis gives us the opportunity to break your surfing down and give you clear, practical changes to take back into the water.
Dates: Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th November 2026
What's included?
Our adult weekend surf camps are about much more than simply getting in the water twice a day.
Your weekend includes four coached surf sessions across two days, with surfboards and wetsuits available, alongside video analysis and/or classroom theory, ocean awareness, wave selection, surf technique, functional warm-ups and individual goal setting.
You’ll also have lunch from Café Croyde Bay on both days, giving everyone a chance to refuel, talk through the sessions and get ready to go again.
And after surfing, adult camp participants can make use of our wood-fired sauna and cold plunge on both days – a pretty good way to finish an autumn surf session in Croyde.
Warm changing rooms and hot showers are available at our surf centre too.
Can't make both days?
We know that committing to a full weekend isn’t always possible. If you’d still like to take part, you can join us for the first day of either camp at a reduced price.
It’s a great option if you’d like to experience a day of focused coaching but can’t make the full two-day programme. Contact us directly to arrange a one-day place.
Why Croyde?
Croyde Bay has long been regarded as one of the UK’s great surfing beaches.
Its exposure to Atlantic swell and variety of conditions make it an incredible place to learn and progress, whether you’re starting to venture out back or working on improving your surfing along the wave face.
At Surfing Croyde Bay, we’re a Surfing England Centre of Excellence, and our coaching is built around small groups and individual progression.
Our maximum 6:1 teaching ratio means our coaches can actually watch your surfing, give you meaningful feedback and help you work on the areas that will make the biggest difference.
Which camp should I choose?
If you’re confident riding whitewater and are beginning to paddle out and catch green waves, but you’re not yet doing so consistently, choose the Progressor Camp in October.
If you’re already paddling out independently, catching green waves and riding down the line, and you’re now looking to improve turns, speed, positioning and overall technique, choose the Intermediate Camp in November.
And if you’re somewhere between the two and aren’t sure which camp is right for you, just get in touch with us. We can help you choose the level that will give you the most from your weekend.
Two camps. Two weekends.
One more chance to progress in 2026.
Autumn is a brilliant time to surf in North Devon, and these are our final two adult surf camps of the year.
Whether you’re looking to make the jump from whitewater to green waves or want to turn your existing surfing into something faster, smoother and more controlled, spend a weekend with us at Croyde Bay and see what focused coaching can do for your surfing.
