Where other suppliers are literally maxing out on ‘legal’ ratios, Surfing Croyde Bay offers ratios that have surf development and stoke at the centre. The team knows pupils names with a few sessions and the pupils feed off the awesome vibe the instructors give off. These instructors are not passing the time, they are fresh from the line-up themselves! You wont get a better location of staff to see you through any surf session! We have been visiting Surfing Croyde Bay as a college (City of Portsmouth College) for over 10 years now. Each year, we are blown away by the professionalism and expertise displayed by everyone who is involved in our experience. We use Surfing Croyde Bay to satisfy an element of the students BTEC L3 Sports Coaching and Development, and also as a final goodbye to our students. The two activities of coasteering and surfing that we take part in are expertly delivered, and we love the smaller ratios of 6:1. The instructors are first class in terms of their delivery styles, appreciating the varying needs of our students whilst helping all of them overcome their fears and anxieties around being in the open water.

We just wanted to thank you for accommodating all 105 of our Yr8 students and staff over three days in June 2023. The booking was sorted out very efficiently to match the tides and ensure that all the students could participate in both surfing and coasteering. The instructors were excellent; all very professional, encouraging and attentive. They took note of any medical conditions and ensured that all the students had a great time. Our group was camping, and it was very kind of the cafe to agree to do S'mores for the group one evening. I really can't recommend them highly enough, and we're already planning our return in 2024!
