MEET THE TEAM: HARRY

Meet the team!

This is Harry, a fairly new addition to the team, joining us in the 2024 season. Harry’s been a friend of the business since his Grom days with Surf Development UK Ltd. An all-around sportsman, volleyball pro, and an awesome surf instructor. Get to know Harry:

When did you start Surfing?

My dad surfed occasionally as a child, and since we moved down to North Devon, he has continued to carry on his passion with me in the water. From there, I began surfing with Damo at his original surf school out the back of the Old Cream Shop.

Why did you become a surf instructor?

I always worked indoors in restaurants, and it has never been what I enjoy. Sport was what I enjoyed. I thought the best way for me to move on would be to share my passion for sport and the whole surfing community.

What do you enjoy most in a surf lesson?

The social aspect of every lesson and being able to share the sport beyond North Devon.

Why do you work at Surfing Croyde Bay?

Damon, the growth of the business from the back of the Old Cream Shop to Baggy Point, I wanted to be a part of the great reputation.
