Safety is always our priority. All instructors are DBS-checked, beach lifeguard certified, and hold ISA/Surfing England Level 1 or 2 qualifications. Our coasteering guides meet the National Coasteering Charter and AALA standards. We proudly hold an AALA license for safety and excellence.

Damon Beveridge, founder of Surf Development UK, leads our team. He has helped young surfers grow from grassroots to world-stage competitors. Since 2012, he’s also been the GB Junior Surf team’s Head Coach.

With over 17 years of experience coaching surfers, from beginners to high-performance athletes representing Great Britain, Damon Beveridge leads the training and development of all our coaches. As a result, you won’t find a more skilled or progressive team for your school activities.
Additionally, at Surfing Croyde Bay, our expertise truly stands out. Not only do we have two International Surfing Association (ISA) Level 2 Qualified coaches on our team, but we also take great pride in offering top-quality instruction.
Furthermore, we coach some of the UK’s most promising up-and-coming surfers, as well as professional touring athletes. Since our ISA Level 2 Coaches hold the highest surf coaching certification, they are fully equipped to coach everyone, from beginners to elite-level surfers.
