Our purpose-built surf center is designed with groups in mind, offering everything you need under one roof.
With heated indoor changing rooms, hot showers, and an on-site café, all you need to bring is your towel and swimwear—we’ll take care of the rest.
Safety First
With fully qualified ISA/Surfing England surf instructors, certified beach lifeguards, and DBS-checked staff, you can feel confident that you’re in safe hands.
Our senior staff also hold up-to-date certifications in child safeguarding, ensuring the highest standards for working with young people. Additionally, as an approved outdoor activity provider, we are accredited by the HSE and maintain a current AALA licence.
6:1 Ratio
We run all our activities with a maximum ratio of 6 students per instructor—an industry-leading standard we’re incredibly proud to uphold. This commitment reflects our dedication to providing safe, professional experiences for every participant.

'Surfing Croyde Bay is a rare find! So seldom can you find suppliers who offer top end coaching with the best ratios of instructors to pupils. Where other suppliers are literally maxing out on ‘legal’ ratios, Surfing Croyde Bay offers ratios that have surf development and stoke at the centre. The team knows pupils names with a few sessions and the pupils feed off the awesome vibe the instructors give off. These instructors are not passing the time, they are fresh from the line-up themselves! You wont get a better location of staff to see you through any surf session! If only this didn’t sound like an infomercial, it's simply the truth as I see it!'

Each year, we are blown away by the professionalism and expertise displayed by everyone who is involved in our experience. We use Surfing Croyde Bay to satisfy an element of the students BTEC L3 Sports Coaching and Development, and also as a final goodbye to our students. The two activities of coasteering and surfing that we take part in are expertly delivered, and we love the smaller ratios of 6:1. The instructors are first class in terms of their delivery styles, appreciating the varying needs of our students whilst helping all of them overcome their fears and anxieties around being in the open water.

The booking was sorted out very efficiently to match the tides and ensure that all the students could participate in both surfing and coasteering. Our group was camping, and it was very kind of the cafe to agree to do S'mores for the group one evening. I really can't recommend them highly enough, and we're already planning our return in 2024!

Our two International Surfing Association (ISA) Level 2 Qualified coaches further demonstrate our expertise. We proudly deliver exceptional instruction, training some of the UK’s top surfers and athletes. With ISA Level 2 certification, our coaches confidently guide surfers at every level, from beginners to elite athletes.
