This is Joe, ISA Level 1 Surf Instructor whose been with us for three seasons. With a degree in physical education he brings a wealth of knowledge to his surf instructing. Joe is an all around great coach to work with! Get to know Joe:

How did you get into surfing?
My surfing began with my dad, he surfed and started teaching me when I was 8 years old. Surfing is the thing that I love to do most so I trained to become an instructor, it allows me to share my passion for the sport with others.

What do you enjoy most in a surf lesson?
Helping someone catch their first unbroken wave and sharing the stoke with them🤙

Why do you work at Surfing Croyde Bay?
The high morale and positivity of all the other instructors and staff. Also the epic location above the best beach for surfing in the UK in my opinion.

Winner of our instructor of the year as a rookie and known for being one of the hardest working instructors, we have felt lucky to have him as a part of the team for as long as we have.

Sadly for us, this was Joe’s final season on the beach as he is off to start working full time as a Teacher. Thank you for everything you’ve given to SCB Joe, we all wish you the very best!
