SURF LESSONS COASTEERING PADDLE BOARDING IN CROYDE, NORTH DEVON

Found in Croyde through the pasty and ice cream shop you find “Surfing Croyde Bay”. Been coming for a few years now in two trips each October with the family and then “boys only”. You find Damian and Jake (and other instructors) who very patiently and skillfully run you through the board, the sea and fun. It’s a very well run surfing place with changing rooms and hot showers. A quick walk to the beach and they help you pick the waves and gain time on the board and once up how to make turns etc. I’m a beginner! Just can’t say enough good things about this surf school staff and facilities and I have been to a few. Very sensibly priced and so easy going.

Surfing Croyde Bay have designed family first surf lessons, that are inclusive for all ages. Family surf lessons are available for children as young as 5 years old.You will have your own private group, with a fully qualified beach lifeguard.

Your family surf lesson will focus on your children as well as Mums and Dads so that you all have fun and develop your surfing techniques.

At Surfing Croyde Bay you will be able to access our family coasteering route. This route has been designed so that children from 8 years and over can experience the amazing adventure that coasteering is.

The family coasteering route is right on our doorstep in Croyde at Baggy Point. Beginners and families will enjoy this route. It has something for everyone. Explore large jumps and small jumps, as well as exciting caves and gullies.

Family stand up paddle boarding is available on our inland lake, on the Crow Point estuary and when sea conditions allow on Croyde Bay itself. You will learn to stand up and use your own personal water craft. It’s a fantastic activity for younger children that gives them a sense of independent adventure and control over their SUP.

Family Activity Centre Location

The Surfing Croyde Bay family activity centre is based right in the centre of Croyde Village. You can get changed at the centre in warm changing rooms. Store your valuables on site. At the end of your trip, grab a hot shower and a warm drink. You will get a warm and comfortable Tiki wetsuit. As well as a modern buoyancy aid and helmet (if applicable), when you arrive for your adventure.
