Did you know that one of the UK’s most accomplished School Activity Centres is right on your doorstep in Croyde, North Devon?
Your pupils from Keystage 1-4 can learn to surf, coasteer and enjoy stand up paddleboarding. The student to instructor ratio of 6:1 is the lowest of any England Surfing Centre of Excellence, ensuring quality and engaging experiences for your pupils.
Run by Ex-Team GB Head Junior Coach Damon Beveridge, the highest standards of teaching and safety, are incorporated into the school coasteering experiences available to your pupils at Surfing Croyde Bay.
You can book a variety of group sizes from small groups to sessions of 50 or more. You can stagger sessions throughout the day for larger groups.
Surfing Croyde Bay has been operating on Croyde Beach for almost 17 years. Over this period, we have built relationships with Stanchester Academy, Uffculme School and Perot Hill School, to name a few. Junior athlete teams such as the GB gymnastic squad and several Football, Rugby and Cricket clubs, all regularly visit Surfing Croyde Bay for activity weeks and ad hoc sessions.
Your pupil’s safety is of paramount importance to us. All of our Instructors and assistants are DBS checked. They hold beach lifeguard qualifications. They also have ISA/Surfing England Level 1 or 2 Coaching Qualifications for Surf and Stand up Paddle Boarding. Our Coasteering Guides are also fully qualified as recommended by the National Coasteering Charter and AALA. We are proudly a Surfing England Centre of Excellence and hold a full license from the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA license).
Ensuring our high standards of practice and coaching is Damon Beveridge, Director of the best Croyde surf school Surfing Croyde Bay . He is the founder of Surf Development UK an organisation that takes kids from grassroots surfing right through to competing on the world stage, as well as being Head Coach to the GB Junior Surf team since 2012.
